Prime Minister Narnendra Modi has enunciated an excellent principle by stating that life stories of living individuals should not be part of school text book. This came in response to move by Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan governments- all of them BJP ruled- to introduce a chapter on his life in their school textbooks. One of the reasons the Indian education system does not deliver the goods today is that it is overly politicized.
