no.096 - Indian children hav a typical attitude. They do as the mood seize them; discipline is foreign to them, and behaviour is a matter of hit or misswith them. A naughty child is handled oddly in India; if he is a member of humbler classes, he is ignored or thrashed into insensibility; if he is a child f the rich, he is bribed with presents or put in the care of servants. Eigher way, he gets precious little guidance from his parents in preparing himself for life. Here we tocuh on our fundamental defect; there are expremely few fully-developed, poised Indian. It is because their mothers have been unable , for one reason or another, to bring them up properly. Even our greatest men oftern behave childishly, not only at home, which is understandable and perhaps agreable, but in pubic and in approaching matters of grave national and international importance. Indian chilren have never received a fair deal; they are either neglegted or pampered. They grow up to be stunted; they do not get the best from society nor they give of their best to it in return. Why hid the truth? All notable Indians have been notable accidently; the forstering of genius or high talent makes no sense to the Indians. Indian philosophy is; "Inspiration comes from beyond, from the gods, not from within." [Next will continue as no.097 Kind Regards! Sunder T

no.095 - Talking about Indian mothers, they are ignornat of their importance in raising their children; because due to unorganized household work, especially among the poorer classes, they have no leisure or energy to devote any time to this great task; because they are, when well-to-do, both idolent and careless, seeming to think it their divine right to do nothing exept to give orders and they are too lackadaisical even to see if their wishes are carried out. European women, grand exeptions apart, set no good example; some of them stay in the country for a while and then go back home, having the mentality of a curious sighseer; those that stay in the land either remain aloof, shut up in thier immediate circle,, or go Indian with a vengeance. Notheing is more amusing than to see a tall, lanky, stiff-limbed blonde draped in an ill-fitting sari and sporting a caste mark on their forehead. If this wer all, one would smile and pass on; but hese women, wishing to be very, very friendly to Indians, eat with their hand and lick their fingers with relish. You will find one sitting cross-legged in a temple and listening rapurously to a priest who was mounting pious nullities; there was another who consulted every palmist known to fame or ill-fame; there was that third one who had adopted an Indian boy and lavished every care on him, without ever realizing that he was dud; there was that forth one, a woman of extraordinary talent, who lovingly put on canvas any Indian face that sported a long beard; but let us end it here for it requires a book in itself to do justice to the new type of white in India. These women are decidedly becoming more Indian than the Indians.; they have nothing to teach their local sisters. [next will no. 096] Kind Regards! Sunder T

No.094 starting as follows: At an age when the little people should be bubbling with health and high spirits they are, in India, burdened with untold and unexpressed miseries. Because they cannot explain what they lack, and because they do not get what their bodies need, they look like suffering old men. This is the supreme tragedy of India- having millions and millions of tiny tots who do not know what it is to smile or laught. It is doubtful if any of our men have had a happy, normal childhood. They have just stumbled into eminence. An Indian lady, now occupying one of most coveted posts in India, said "My dear good sir, I have had no childhood; ever since I was five or six years old I have heard of nothing but causes; I think I shall die embracing a cause." We dose out children with religion, but too oftern this is not religion at all, but the scaffolding if a creedm fair-lay are not taught, yet they are what charactoer is build upon. Why Indian mothers instil discipline into Indian children? Next will continue as no.095 Kind Regards! Sunder T

The selfish male in India will say that I am attempting to knock him off from his present pedestal of overlordship. These pedestals are to be removed. ther is no mother`s son, here or any other country, who has a right to look down upon others. The man in India has, in any case, nothing to fear. Only a free woman can give him love in all its richness, and it is this kind of love that will make him really free. Is not this something to struggle for in a land that is renewing itself? Are we so dull not to realize that significance of an existance lyrically conceived? Only such free woman can produce children who in their turn are free. At present slaves are fabricating slaves; woman of a limited outlook are bound to bring forth offspring of a limited outlook. Advancement in an atomoshere if this kind is negligible; our little ones merely learn to repeat the errors of their parents. Kind Regards! Sunder T

Sunderblogger-india_withoutmakeup.091

Blogzsunder- india_withoutmakeup.091 the day the Indian woman learns the meaning of ecstasy of love the history of India will change. Then weary, worn-out and whining women will cease to produce the fruits of un love. Copulation in India is a hunger, a habit, a hoary obligation, an option for the idle, but rarely an even-changing ceremony to wed poetry to life. But what about our masterpieces about the art of love? They are there, no doubt, but they repose in museums as it may seem. Westerners know more about them than Indian do. It was Bacon who said that the wisdom of the past lies at the bottom of a fast-flowing river, and what we see is more flotsam and jetsam. This applies with particular force to India. There, in that wonderful land, what we see is a mere mockery of what our forefathers once created. The land of May lies heavy on us. Kind Regards! Sunder T

Sunderblogger-india_withoutmakeup.090

Sunderblogger-inida_withoutmakeup.090 Indian woman has no understanding of romantic love. Most marriages in India are arranged, and those that not are worth noting. The genesis of quite a few s0-called love-marriages, reveal how much they vary from their Western prototype. An Indian girl rarely falls in love with anyone; you may think that she has forgotten the emotion; but she does swoon over one or another chap. Actually Indian woman falls for a fellow with a big job, or a big income, or a big something. The innocent man thinks that his love is returned. What a delusion! The girl submits herself to him not because she is truly enamored of him but because he can give her what she craves. Security is only a part of her goal; what motivates her is the deep-rooted desire to blacken the face of someone- that is, to out vie her rivals in pomp and glory. The husband often sees though the farce. He decorates his wife, given her all the fal-lals, and leaves her alone. Kind Regards! Sunder T

Sunderblogger.india_withoutmakeup.089

Sunderblogger.india_withoutmakeup.087 The Indian woman is no way different from her sister in any other part of the world; only she does everything more fiercely, most passionately, more single mindedly. She just cannot be alone; to escape this horror, she would busy herself with the concerns of her family, if she has one; when she has no children and no dragon of a mother-in-law to face, she would invite friends or visit them. She will, in any case, be up to something. This is about Indian upper and middle class woman, who, as in other counties, set the pace. The present if out of the picture, for she has no time or inclination even to look at herself in the mirror. She works from dawn to dusk, day and day out, until merciful death claims her; the working class woman too, is beast of burden who gets a brief respite when there is a wedding or a funeral in her home; the other women, wives, or daughters of the lower income groups (say, minor officials), have so many brats to look after that they literally spend their time from cradle to cot, from cot to cradle, attending to this or that child; the topmost layer of women, spouses of the very wealthy, the very aristocratic, or the very powerful, take up rival causes, the more outlandish the better, or paly bridge, go the races, flit from cocktail party to cocktail party, or lie in bed reading True Detective, True Confessions, and similar heartening magazines. To be sure, there are women who are wide awake and conscious of world problems, but they are too few to change the general habit of using time uncreatively. The average Indian woman moves between sour-destroying drudgery and stupid frivolling. Kind Regards! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger-india_withoutmakeup.086

We have to remember that Indian woman of today, like the Indian womean of all time, resembles a bullock that goes round and round in an oi0-processing mill, eyes closed with blinkers, gazing only in one direction. No wonder she has such microscopie view of the world. Of herself, as a rule, she tnederstands hardly anything. Many of her urges and aches remain unfulfilled from age to age. the accumulated frustration of the Indian woman, if given a free outlet, would blow up the entire country and some neighbouring states as well. As it is, a vast sgh rises from our soil and fills the very air we breathe with sadness. Most woman, almost everywhere, are afraid to be by themselves; they like company and are never happy without talking to someone. Gadding about, the, is a univeral feminine habit. Nothing wrong about it; increase of comaraderie, even spice with gossip, is all to the good; to hear criticism of oneself is sobering, for it pricks one`s vanity and puts one on one`s gaurd. Scanal-mongering is sometimes a beneficial social activity. Kind Regards Sunder T

Sunderblogger-india_withoutmakeup.085

In India, no change can be brought by laws or regulations. It is a question of re-educating India motherhood in a true valuation of values. On the solution of this momentous problem depends in large measure the future of Indian people, yet it has received little attention from Indian leaders. They have gone in for reforms, many of which are seen to be just chloroform. consitutional bosses have now received a further chance to be more bossy. Indian woman can now poke theri noses inot more people`s affairs. Indian female M.Ps want to stop everything that displeases them. One, a man, having for husband a lighty fellow, is all for abolishing prositution; anohter having six unmarried daughters on her hands, is keep on doing away with the dowry system; a third, possessing a rescal son-in-law, did not reest until the Divorce Bill had been passed; a fourth- but why continue? the matter is plain as pickestaff. I added ony one word; there are wonderful exceptions to the common self-contredness. Kind Regards Sunder T

Sundeblogger-r-india_withoutmakeup.084

Blogzsunder- india_withoutmakeup.084 In India, Sex does not enter the situation in any way; it is a matter of umbilical cord never have been cut, or if cut, tied again more firmly than ever. Mother-complex is to be met with in the West. Particularly in America, but it is omnipresent in India. Unless this outlook of the Indian woman changes, the building of a social conscience among Indian people will remain a dream. The philosophic concept of tolerance is meaningless when no values except those of the group are accepted. Universalism in such an environment is pure cant. Yet the Indian woman is the heart and soul of India; she is definitely superior to her make counterpart. It is because she is fundamentally sound that India has not perished. However, her soundness is like the soundness of a minor poet. She can sing only one tune and make a single resonance. If India is to progress, and progress along the right lines, the Indian woman must have a warmer heart and a deeper sensibility. If she had that, question of caste, color, intermarriage, inter-dining, would not upset her equanimity. Then Indian social solidarity would become something real, which alone would give cement for national oneness. Kind Regards! TheSunderkt

Sunderblogger.199 We as human beings have power - not just to cause harm and create terror but to help ourselves of this seemingly hopeless scenario of doom and gloom. It might seem contradictory that people are empowered and empower others, merely by being kind and compassionate and not because they are overbearing, manipulative and unkind and force their view on others. A kind word, a good deed, a cring gesture, a warm simile, all these are like power kegs. Kindness and compassion spring from inner security whereas aggression and hatred come from inner insecurity. When our backs are up against the wall, positive inner resources come to the rescue. Sometimes they are invisible but in times of distress, they give us strength and help us emerge as powerful game changers. Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.198 India is a funny place for business. Nitin Gadkary has proved it. Which other country can claim such a distinction, which showcases Not only multitasking abilities but also socio-economic equality? Can Barack Obama`s chauffer take on the job of a company director even while continuing to drive the US president around? Can Mitt Romey`s driver do both such jobs at the same time? Nope, It`s only in India where such inspiring success stories are possible Drivers, peons, munims(Accountants), astrologers, who are part of the Gadkari network of companies have all shown a commendable flair for business affairs and have been suitably rewarded with high corporate office. Moreover, the BJB leader is not the only one under whose benevolent disposition such enterprise has been encouraged to thrive. Similar success stories abound right across India`s political spectrum. The reason for his is simple. Unlike elsewhere, in India the danda (stick) of the law is accommodative of `h`s, as in `hera-pheri`(cheating). This small inclusion changes the danda (stick) of the law into the business of dhandha (business) as usual Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.195 Life is all about connections. Our mental, emotional, physical and psychic selves only establish connections, be it with nature, people of things. We don`t know how to relate to them. We do not build relationships. When we connect with consciousness and awareness with what is around us, only then do we actually relate to them. Bu we do relate to something and that is our selfish nature. Any action based on the selfish motive will not endure long. Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.194 When the vision of oneness, a higher vision, is absent it creates divisions in the family, company, community, nation and the world. Self-importance is the cause for divisions at any level. In a family there are conflicts, in a company there is manipulation, in a community there is fanaticism, in a country each state wants its own independence and internationally there are wars. This is all because of the absence of vision of oneness- one harmonious family, one strong nation, and one peaceful global family. Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.193 Stress is a disease of the 21st century. Everyone seems to be in stress from a child to a retiree. What disturbs the mind? You believe a bad boss, nagging spouse or the weather causes you grief. The truth is that nothing in the world can disturb you except yourself. Stress is defined as mental turbulence caused by unfulfilled desire. As long as a desire remains unactualised you will be in stress. Yet desire is being recklessly fuelled and people are n stress. When you rise above desire and work for something beyond, the object of desire comes to you. Then you can enjoy it thoroughly with a calm mind. So what is the way out? The first step is to manage desire with intellect. If the intellect approves, go ahead and fulfill the desire without fear or guilt. But if the intellect vetoes it, keep away. This gives relief. The next step is desire reduction by upgrading desires. Pick up a higher desire. The lower one drops. Finally, when the lure of the Infinite grips you all desires vanish. You are in Bliss. Sunderblogger.189 our attitude towards other in our workday life reflects like this “Day after day countless creatures are going to the above of heaven yet those that remain behind believe themselves to be immortal”. We believe that what happens to others will not happen to us. We apply different stands to evaluate our own behavior and that of others in all fields of activity. The `other`, across cultures, has been seen variously as a friend- an extension of oneself- or as a foe posing a threat to one`s freedom. The other has been seen by some as deserving our concern or respect, by some as an opportunity for solidarity or mutual transformation, and by some typically as an unwelcome practical, political or cultural limitation. The other can be the ethnic, other, the cultural other, the religious other, the national other or simply the other gender. Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.185 Seriousness is a disease, but seriousness has been praised, respected, honored. It was absolutely essential to be serious to be saint; hence only people who were incapable of laughter become interested in religion. And people who are incapable of laughter are not human yet- what to say about their being divine? That is impossible- they have not yet become human. Hence I have tremendous respect for the sense of humor; for laughter. Laughter is far more sacred that prayer, because prayer can be done by any one, It does not require much intelligence, Laughter requires intelligence. It requires presence of mind, a quickness of seeing into things. A joke cannot be explained; either you understand it or you miss it. If it is explained it loses the whole point; hence no joke can be explained. You get it immediately or you can try to find out the meaning of it; you will find out the meaning, but the joke will not be there. It was in the immediacy. Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.184

Sunderblogger.184 To attain wisdom, we must purify the mind by making It free of all impure thoughts. First empty your mind; only then you can make room for wisdom to come in. Prepare the mind to face situations in a way that enables you to harness its potential. Living with a mind that is narcissist will impede progress. A life that is full of ego leaves no room for receptivity as one thinks about nothing else other than its own self. In order to receptive to truth, one must make the effort to be ready to recognize and receive the truth. Human beings have become conditional entities on account of habit. It is this conditioning that is a major obstacle on the path. To be able to overcome this hurdle, we must be ready to revisit existing ideas; be willing to rise above all kinds of biases and prejudices and become receptive to truth that may come from anywhere. Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.183 Religion has been missing one very fundamental quality; the sense of humour; It`s unfortunate, because it has made religion sick. A sense of humor is an essential part of the wholeness of man. It keeps him healthy, young and fresh. And for centuries the sad people have dominated religion. They have expelled laughter- from churches, mosques and from temples. The day laughter enters back into the holy places they will be really holy, because they will be whole. Laughter is the only quality that distinguishes man from other animals. Only man can see the ridiculous, the absurd. Only he has the capacity and the consciousness to be aware of the cosmic joke; it is not a serious affair. [will continue in next]. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.180 in India, only one-third population lives in towns and cities. In Bihar in 2001 it was only 10%. India`s towns and cities desperately need fixing. Half of Mumbai lives in slumps, which is a natural disgrace. At the same time, we may have to think of building completely new cities and destroying older ones. That is a scary thought, but a time may come when it is better to destroy than to rehabilitate. Human habitation is not permanent, and India has several examples of urban settlements that were abandoned. There is the weak Indian state. A strong state is one that has decision-making, implementation, regulatory, adjudicatory, and enforcement capacity. On all these, India is pathetically week. Here are some sumbers. India has 700, diplomats, same as Belguim. The IAS has 5,000 officers, one per 250,000 people. We have 560 MPs,one for every two million people. Bothe Britain and Sri Lanka have one MP for every 90,000 people. There are 31 milion cases pending in the Indian judicail system. The upper courts alone have a bcklog of 4 million and the Supreme Court has 50,000. India has 1.2 judges per 100,000 people: the ration in Austraia is three times, and in the US nine times better. This is with 1.2 billion people; imagine the situation in 2050 when the population will be 1.7 billion. If the rest of the world and especially Asian countries have forged ahead, it is because after 1945 they took care of education. The Governmen`s record on public health is equily abysmal. Sunderblogger.175 Sub: Think India. India thrives on contradictions like no place else; any visitor, tourist, or business representative can expect the unexpected. Relying on a trusted Indian friend to act as buffer and to protect one from culture shock is helpful in this sometimes highly confusing country. At your hotel, they may not serve beef because of the reverence Hindus hold for the cow. Yet you may hear the conversation of Hindu man from Kerala seated at a nearby table telling his wife on a cell phone that he will return home tomorrow and would prefer a beefsteak for dinner. In a temple, where you might expect more familiar rules and behavior, you could be truly shocked to witness a sadhu (a holy man who customarily wears orange) amble in nonchalantly completely nude. Sunderblogger.169 Adapt to any condition. Life is found in the deep sea and in the bowels of the earth. Many creatures live their whole lives thus quite happily. Family, friends, ask you to stop worrying. Yet you love to worry! Don’t dwell in the past or worry about the future. Don`t have expectations, indulging in thoughts of marking vast sums of money; receiving abundance love; getting recognition and honor for a live time of work. If you think you will be happy when some of these dreams come true, you are chasing a mirage. Be happy as you now are and enjoy peace. Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.167 Medication is the journey from movement to stillness, from sound to silence. The need is present in you to meditate because it is our natural tendency to look for undiminished joy and love that does not distort or turn negative. Medication is food for the soul. When you are hungry, spontaneously you eat something. If you are thirsty, you drink water. Similarly, the soul yearns for meditation and this tendency is in everyone. Best Wishes! Sunder.thadani

Sunderbloger.166 Work on Bringing Balance to your life. Work-life balance is one the most misunderstood concept in our pressure-laden times. Balance means finding that optimum point where the person working in a perfect condition, in perfect harmony with his environment. Balance does not mean giving equal priority to everything. Often, people working wrongly believe that a work-life balance means dividing their time equally between work and family. Its fallacy is evident in the dissatisfaction people feel despite efforts at that `misunderstood` balance. The answer to work-life balance is not in balancing one`s work with one`s family, for that simply means more work; it means balancing one`s work with one`s life. Your life includes you, your health, spiritual evolution, mental vigor, attitude and tenacity social presence, friends AND your family. This sudden expansion in your life can be a shock and lead you to spin on all these factors. Let me tell you a secret; you don`t have to work at the balance, the balance work at you. You will be amazed that we all have an inherent mechanism that warns us when our life is going off balance. Make no comprises on your health or your body will make you a slave. Sunderblogger.165 India`s soil, climate and vegetation have played their part in molding Indian. As there is a lot of nonsense talked on this subject, let me linger over it a little. Every country affects its dwellers in a particular way. A psychologist has observed that a monkey sent to Germany for scientific observation begin to brood and behave like a Teuton, while the same monkey dispatched to the United States reacts like a restless American, always on the go. Whatever comes and lives in India, undergoes a subtle change of psyche. Is value altering. The boundaries of good and evil, so clear before, now begin to melt a move. He floats in a void. Sunderblogger.164 Destroy those envying roots and enjoy lasting peace. Just be aware when the feeling of jealousy arises, and you will be surprise, it simply disappears. Jealousy cannot be overcome either by escaping from it or hating the object of jealousy. Understand the way out of jealousy is not be surprising it or denying its existence. Expressing and encouraging it is also not the way because then you are not ready to face he jealousy with awareness. Just watch how jealousy arise in you, how it develops into hatred for the object of jealousy, how it creates restlessness and frustration inside you and make you lose all of your peace and calm. Do not condemn the object of jealousy. The object has not generated the emotions from outside. The jealousy is happening inside you. The fire of jealousy can just consume you completely if you don’t control it with the fire extinguisher of you awareness. Once you witness your jealousy with awareness, you will realize that it does not have a basis for existence at all. When this happens, jealously will drop automatically. You won`t have to drop it. Sunderblogger.163 Let us not run away with the impression that our Indian Sumerian is a pure Sumerian. Only the dominant layer in him is that; his other layers are in constant conflict with the Sumerian. Fantastic, it will be said. Not quite. Take for example, His fundamental reaction to life and thought –patterns was Western, particularly British, yet he was no more than an Englishman tan I am the Kahn of Tartary. He was a complex personality, and affords the best example of my contention. Nehru could identify himself closely with almost every type of Indian: he felt with the Naga: with the Brahmin like a Brahmin: with the Muslim like a Muslim: with the untouchable like an untouchable; yet at heart he was none of these. What he was, I am sure, he himself did not know. He had deep urges and large dreams –that`s all. Here was our typically complex and contradictory Indian. There is no doubt that our various racial strains have made us what we are at present-a people with no distinctive soul, but with only a many-colored psyche. But to say this is not to say all. We have heard the phrase “Mother India”; India is much more than; she is the Granny of Nations. Sunderblogger.161 Life Lesson #1 – Let it go. Anger is never just anger. Anger is a cover up for fear, hurt, or disappointment. I can’t tell you the number of days I stressed myself out in my 20’s because I was angry at another person and did not want to forgive them. I literally made myself sick over it. The ironic thing about anger is that the joke is on the angry person. When you're angry, it hurts you more because you have to spend your precious time and energy holding on to negative energy. Sadly, that negative energy often blocks the positive energy from coming into your life. So let it go so that you can let that positive light in. Appreciate the person that you're angry with and learn to live with them the way they are. If someone is constantly upsetting you, appreciate the fact that you are strong enough to disassociate yourself from them. You don't need to stick around! Life Lesson #2 – It’s really not about you. When loved ones, co-workers, or even strangers say and do hurtful things, many times it is really not about you. People in this world have some serious issues. And, because they don’t deal with their issues, they project those issues onto you. The mother who thinks she is the worst mom will project and tell another mom how bad their kid is. The teen who thinks she is ugly will project and make fun of another teen. The boss who can’t manage his team will try to micromanage your work. So the next time someone does something hurtful to you, remember two things, they act like that towards other people as well, and it’s not about you!! Life Lesson #3 – Others have gone through the same problems that you have today. This is one I am still working on because I am a pretty private person. But I have to believe that when you go through things, one of the main reasons is to help others at one point and time through the same obstacle. The problem is that everyone wants to put on the mask that their life is grand, secretly hiding away any perfections. If no one knows your true journey, they can’t seek you out for help. It’s not an easy thing to do; it’s not like your Uncle Joe shouts out to everyone ‘Hey Everyone, I’m in foreclosure, now let’s eat.’ BUT, if he did, he would attract others that have been through the same experience, and could change a life for the better. Life Lesson #4 – Enjoy it now. As I look back at my last 29 years of life, there were so many special moments that came and went. I wish I would have sat back and enjoyed the moments more. Absorb the good times because they are the first things you forget. Life Lesson #5 – Power of Persistence There is something about the power of daily focused effort that seems to be a common theme in successful people. It’s the difference between ball players and NBA players, the difference between a Life Lesson #6 – I get it now when people talk about having passion as a requirement for excellence. If you want to excel as a fashion designer, working towards that goal should generally win over other distractions. When presented with the opportunity to watch TV or hang out with friends instead of working to, if you constantly choose those distractions over working on fashion, you must consider that fashion is not your passion. I am not saying that you can't relax, but I'm saying that before you choose a life goal or a 'passion', be sure it's something that you, in your heart, really enjoy and love doing. Life Lesson #7 – Relationships can be your greatest teacher. I feel that everyone should do a lessons learned exercise after each relationship AND after every couple of years in a marriage. Each relationship is a reflection of you (whether good or bad). Subconsciously it’s a reflection of our deepest insecurities and needs. And if you really take the time to reflect the good or bad times, it is a window into your soul. Taking the time to review your past will be time well spent. Life Lesson #8– Don’t sleep on the power of the internet there are thousands upon thousands of people making a good amount of money online. The BEST thing about online business is that is has no face. So you can no longer say you’re being judged by your race, background, lack of a degree, etc. The internet levels the playing field. Quality content speaks louder than your religion, skin color, etc. Start looking into the power of it today. Life Lesson #9 – Don’t be a “put off’ person. I spent many years putting off things because I was waiting for the situation to get better or for 'something' to happen first. News Flash – I bet you can think of a hundred reasons to keep living how you are today and not changing; SOMETHING will always be in the way or be a reason to delay. Don’t put off your happiness. If you can do something that makes you happy today, without ruining the lives of others then do it. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.160 TOI editor has well said about BJP that “it has diluted its anti-corruption stance by admitting tainted leaders. Realizing the pitfalls some among the BJP`s central leadership including Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jailtley, have tried to distance themselves from the UP state leadership. But passing the buck is pointless. Only practicing for itself what it preaches to others can help. Sunderblogger.159 One of the favorite sports of India`s middle classes is bureaucracy bashing. It is an easy game to play and can be quite a lot of fun. Everyone has their favorite, outrageous story about an encounter with the bureaucracy. The inefficiency, corruption, insensitivity, stupidity and Kafkaesque circularity of bureaucratic procedures and rules are legendary. That India`s bureaucracy is one the most stifling and difficult to deal with has now been revealed in a survey. Over a thousand expatriate business executive rated India`s bureaucracy the most annoying in Asia. The problem with India is no, as we in the middle class imagine, that we have too many idle and corrupt bureaucrats. The problem is that we have too many rules and regulations and too few officials to implement and monitor the regimes, and bring to book those who flout the rules and regulations. As India`s population grows, the disequilibrium is only going to grow: more rules and regulations to be applied to more and more people by a bureaucracy that is not high enough. A conclusion: either we expand the bureaucracy or else the government will gradually wither away to the point that India will join the ranks of failed states. That would be a calamity for the Indian people. Best wishes! Sunder Thadani.

Vastness will come. If you are in the hands of forces that are reducing your life, like jealousy, hatred, negativity, narrowness, selfishness and greed, then you are on the opposite side. From one major point of view, we depend complete upon nature. Water, sunlight, oxygen, food, all parts of the life-support system is supplied by nature. We cannot afford to disassociate ourselves from these natural resources. Living in a society means living with constant challenges. This perturbs people and they become individualists. But this kind of individualism is little more than escapism. Differences could be a boon, for if everyone thinks alike, no one thinks very much. So difference means diversity just like different trees enhance the beauty of a garden. We cannot afford to live in a cocoon. For the larva living in a cocoon, it is a life before an impending transformation but for us human beings, it is no less than death. Social living means living through experiences, meeting challenges, learning lessons, teaching and learning. Society is like a living university. One who tries to go against society will commit social suicide. No one can afford to opt for either natural suicide. No one can afford to opt for either natural suicide or social suicide. Therefore, complaint is a futile exercise. Adjustment to achieve mutual benefit is the only possible formula. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sundedrblogger.154 Change Attitude, Not Lifestyle In life, everyone is denied a few things. But all of us have been blessed with millions of gifts. If you focus on what you do not have, you will be unhappy, if you choose to focus on the things you have, you are grateful and you develop an irresistible share, contribute, and give. This makes you happy. The most precious things come for free, which you do not even consider! Hence, you live life feeling deprived and deficient when, in fact, you could be totally fulfilled and abundant. Do you have conflict with the people you love most? Do you blame the 1other person for it? May be it has to do with your attitude. Do you have expectations of you family members? Do you make demands on your spouse and children? This is not love. It is attachment. Love tainted with selfishness is attachment. You only love yourself. You claim to love because they happen to cater to you in some way. This causes conflict and untold suffering. In the end you support them. Attachment is the single most important cause for breakdown in relationships. So change you attitude, not lifestyle. Your life will change from drudgery to revelry. From mediocrity to Excellence. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.152 I have a very simple definition of integrity: I saw a romantic greeting card which showed a couple kissing in the front seat of a car. The message said, ‘If you can kiss while driving safely, you are not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.’ Anything that is worth doing is worth doing with a whole heart, mind and body. We get into the trouble not because we do things that are wrong, but because we approach our activities with divided intentions. Our body is doing one thing while our heart is elsewhere. We go to jobs wet rather not be at, we sleep with people we don’t love, we go to parties we secretly find boring or repulsive. At the same time we love people we don’t express our love for, we deny ourselves food we would really enjoy, and we know truths we do not act on. You are doing on the outside matches who you are on the inside. I respect people who do things I don’t agree with, or wouldn’t do myself, but I respect them for being 100 percent who they are. They are in integrity. Regards, Sunder.thadani

Sunderblogger.151 it is well said, “Politics is to be left only to politicians”. India has been like a house owned by a householder who leaves the day-to-day running of the house –keeping the place clean, buy provisions for the kitchen, maintaining a daily account – to the servants. Left unregulated-except for a check on their activities every five years-the servants inevitably come to feel that the house belongs to them and not to the householder. As times goes by they become increasingly lazy and corrupt with no money to pay for the upkeep. The householder blames the servants for having cheated and defrauded her. She concludes that all servants are cheats who are not to be trusted. But the householder forgets that it was only because she abdicated her own responsibility for adequately supervising the servants that they could behave the way they did, bringing the house to the sorry state it is in. The Indian public is like that over-trustful householder who has let her house be run, with virtually no monitoring, by politicians who, feeling that there is no one to hold them to account for their actions, have done exactly as they pleased, holding to ransom the house that call India. Sunderblogger.150 Is there such a creature as an Indian? There may be, but I have not found it. An Indian pure and simple is rare as a griffin or an Assyrian bull. How should it be otherwise? The Indian is not a person, but a patchwork. Indeed, he reminds me of Ibsen`s famous one layer, then another, then another, and finally, nothing. I am the peeling of the various layers that causes much trouble. Each layer tells its own tale and, what is unbelievable, is not part of an organic whole. The result is that the so-called Indian is the most contradictory of persons. He is perpetually at war with himself. Not knowing himself, he is unable to understand others. Our metaphysics, wonderful as they are, have tried to solve this confusion, but in vain. Our multilayered soul remains hidden and unfathomable. But why are we what we are? Aryanism, of which we have become particularly proud since independence, is, if we examine matters without partipris, integumentary. The essence lies elsewhere. The Indian spirit is basically pre-Aryan. The Dravidian element in it is predominant, (as we see t0-day,) but the total influences go further back. We have heard the phrase “Mother India”; India is much more than that; she is the Granny of Nations. Her soul (there is, I repeat, no “it” about it) is steeped in the leadings and misleading of many civilizations. best wishes, Sunder Thadani.

Sunderblogger.148 10 Quick Strategies to Help Manage Your Anger When someone cuts you off on the freeway, do you give in to your rage? Do you burst out in anger when your child misbehaves? Anger is a very natural emotion. However, learning to deal with your anger in a positive manner is important, both for your well-being and that of others who are near and dear to you. When you cannot control your temper, you and everyone around you suffer the consequences. If you struggle with anger management, the good news is: it doesn't have to be this way! You don't have to fall victim to an uncontrollable temper. There are anger management techniques that will help you change the way you express this emotion. These strategies can help you manage your anger in positive ways: 1. Give yourself a time out. Counting to ten before you speak or act gives you a chance to think first. Take a deep breath or two while you count to ten; this action helps relax your tense muscles and sends a burst of oxygen to your brain for clarity of thought. Removing yourself altogether from the situation gives you more time to calm down and further reduces the risk of an angry outburst. You can return once you're able to discuss the issue peacefully. 2. Take some personal space. When the very presence of a specific person makes your blood boil, stay away from them until your frustration dies down. Use the opportunity away from them to work through your feelings and seek a positive solution to your challenge with them. 3. After you're calm, express yourself. It's healthy to express your feelings, even feelings of anger, as long as you do it in a peaceful, positive, and non-confrontational way. Discussing your feelings with the person who upsets you often helps both of you understand each other better so you can work out your issues. Stewing about what is bothering you can make the whole situation worse. 4. Exercise. Strenuous physical activity is an incredible way to release your anger, especially if you feel you're at the breaking point. Exercising also releases endorphins, the "feel good" hormones, which will help you feel more at peace. A۬ Lifting weights, running, and playing sports are great ways to blow off some steam. 5. Think it through before you tackle the issue. When you're angry, you're more likely to say something hurtful that you don't really mean. Write down what you want to say so you can work through the issue at hand; when your temper is flaring, it's easy to get sidetracked. 6. Find a win-win solution. Instead of focusing on what someone did to make you angry, work with him or her to resolve the issue. Finding a solution that you both agree on will allow you to feel satisfied. 7. Use personal statements when discussing the issue. Avoid criticizing or placing blame. Use statements like, "It makes me feel angry and upset when you don't help me with the housework," instead of "You never help me," which could make that person angry or resentful in return. 8. Avoid holding a grudge. Maintaining resentment toward someone only hurts you. Let it go, put it in the past, and move forward with your life. It's unreasonable to expect everyone to act the way you want them to. Rather than letting someone continue to irritate you with their mannerisms, find a way to accept or look past them. 9. Use humor. Lighten up the situation by saying or doing something genuinely funny. Once you both have a good laugh, it's easier to find a resolution together. When being humorous, avoid sarcasm as it can hurt and make things worse. 10. Practice relaxation techniques. Skills like deep breathing and picturing a relaxing scene can help defuse your temper when you feel it start to boil. Listening to music and practicing Yoga are also great stress relievers. If you feel that your anger is still out of control after using these strategies, you may benefit from some extra help, such as: Reading further books on anger management. Seeing a licensed therapist or counselor. Attending anger management classes or support groups where others discuss ways to cope with their anger. No matter how severe your anger may be, these tips and techniques can help you control your temper, rather than letting it control you. Free yourself from anger and find greater joy in your life today!

Sunderblogger.147 Change election rules to keep criminals out of politics. With corruption rolling the Parliament and public life, the present ruling government can send a message about the seriousness of its intent to cleanse politics by swiftly passing into law proposed amendment to the Representation of the Peoples Act, 1951. With the objective of debarring criminals from entering politics, the amendments would disqualify any candidate with serious criminal charges-terrorism, murder, sexual assault, kidnapping etc.-from contesting elections. The law can be further improved by adding big-ticket corruption to the list of serious crimes. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.145 An aware mind is one that knows that a problem or issue exists but does nothing about it. It is easy to be lazy. Laziness requires no efforts. To be active requires effort. Let us take a look at mind control. Tempestuous thoughts arise daily in an agitated mind. There could be virtuous thoughts but they might get buried, when the mind is stressed. Even if these were to manifest outwardly, by their sheer nature they would bring benefit to us or those around us. However, we need to be extra cautious of the arising of non-virtuous ones. Sunderblogger.144 we are never without an identity. In the system in which we are living, there are set patterns of life. Due to our ignorance we create frames. A framed life is never happy, never satisfied because we really belong to the frameless source. If our life belongs to the frameless source, how can you define it in a frame? Can you capture the whole of the ocean in a cup? Our ideal identity is no identity-to become zero, to live with a zero identity. We worship those who have attained this state. Either acquire a zero identity or become everything. Never identify yourself with one thing at all. Either identity with nothing or identity with everything never be in-between. That is the faith you should have in yourself. First has faith in yourself, with whatever identity you are living, had full faith in that. If you have no faith in yourself, faith in the Divine alone will not work. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani.

Sunderblogger.143

Sunderblogger.143 we are never without an identity. In the system we are living there are set patterns of life. Doctor, master genius, this, that …. You are choosing your identity, so good, choose any identity, have full faith in that. If you feel like you are an artist then be an artist then be an artist, never doubt your identity. Ninety percent of people have identity but no faith in their identity, and they confuse themselves and have a miserable life. We should have courage to break the system and discover a new identity in which we have faith. Then you can create better possibilities for life. Everything is in your hands; you have to decide what you want. First of all understand your life, value it and then make your life useful, purposeful. If the definition of your life is limited your life will always be limited, if your definition of life is vaster, without boundaries or frames then you can live without limit. Every day, write you definition of life and in a few days that will give you a complete picture of you, you can check your frame-or whether your picture is frameless. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.142 Knowledge comes from the past. It has to be translated currently into action. Thoughts and ideas must be transformed into deeds. Your motto in life should be to strive, to struggle, not to succeed. Work well accomplished, is the joy of life. Success or failure is immaterial. What really matters is your ability to adopt action to obligation. Your business lies in action alone, not in the reward accruing from it. Don’t let your anxiety to enjoy the fruit disturb the course of your action. Work without attachment and craving in worship. That is the principle of renunciation. Why do you need motives for work? Work itself is most rewarding, entertaining and blissful. Employ this simple principle of work in practical life. The wide world becomes one divine chant. When you thus begin to work in a spirit of renunciation, the world returns your courtesy. Wealth and prosperity are at your door. The world will go on. Nevertheless, you must perform you your work. You ought to take to work as a prince takes to sport-not as drudgery or burden. Your life is one big game, full of fun and frolic. The most laborious undertaking pursued in the right spirit is found to be all play; intense work undertaken thus is no work at all. That should be your attitude to work. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.141

Sunderblogger.141 Are you in conflict with the people you love most? Do you experience incredible highs followed by invariable lows in your relationships? Have the days of wine in and roses become days of wine and neuroses? Love tainted with selfishness is `attachment`; it is only about you. You expect a return for your affection, tangible or intangible. You feel insecure, vulnerable and threatened. Your expectations never seem to be met with. The more people do for you, the more you want. The relationship thus becomes conflict-ridden. In the end, it breaks down and you lose the person. Expand you mind. Get attached to a wider circle of people-community, nation, and humanity. Work for local civil society, for the welfare of the world. As you get attached to the higher you get detached from the lower. True love is born and your relationships become free from the endless strife that prevails now. In order to fill the haunting sense of emptiness in your life you depend on people for your happiness. Thus the starting point is faulty. Only when you are happy within can you establish meaningful relationships with others. It is absurd to depend on others to fill the void. You do not need anyone to make you happy. Gain knowledge of your fulfilled state. Love others for what they are, the good as well as the bad. Understand that people behave according to their nature. Look at others as part of yourself and you will focus on their best qualities. You will see opponents as partners, competitors as comrades. You will celebrate others` victory as if it were your own. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Blog4u.140 Death is powerless before the person who has depth of feeling for life. You must have come cross people who are not afraid of death, and they are from different walks of life. They include those in public life [like Gandhi, Anna Hazare], householders and also convicted criminals. They seem to be ready for the ultimate act without feeling any remorse. But can we say that death is powerless before them and that they have depth in them as evidence of this? Perhaps not. Perhaps they are being seen as the strongest of people who have depth of knowledge that enables them to encounter death without fear. The nearest that you can get to death is to be with the dying and experience the trauma or otherwise, so as to feel the experience as best as possible, without actually dying- and this might help increase your depth of knowledge of death. Once you understand death and are ready that you feel life to the fullest which in itself increases your depth of life. Only when you feel death can you feel life, which opens the sublime qualities of intelligence, fearlessness, wisdom, love, happiness, joy, creativity, expression, truthfulness and life itself. Sunderblogger.139

Sunderblogger.139 it is said that if a man speaks truth uninterruptedly for 12 years, whatever he speaks thereafter will come true. The saying, at once, reveals the power of truth as also the difficulty of remaining conscious of truth consistently for any length of time. Theoretically speaking, truth should be a simple task as the most natural thing to do. Truth about oneself is always self-evident. Our thoughts and feelings, fears and aspirations, likes and dislikes are known to us and yet, we hardly express ourselves fully and truthfully. Instead, we battle with our conscience, concoct stories and manipulate our expressions to camouflages our thoughts and true feelings. We choose the hard option drive by all sorts of fears; fear of being found out, of rejection, of losing honor, status and image. As long as the veneer lasts I is fine but the foundation underneath remains ever brittle and shaky. Truth is immortal. A shadow of lie can temporarily dim its illumination but only in passing. Lies, however, have a limited life and need to continuously breed and proliferate to keep up the presence of constancy. Truth is lie fresh water, cleansing the mind of sensory debris like desire, hatred, greed, jealousy, envy and animosity. Pursuing truth in thought and action, the mind attains a state of tranquility and starts mirroring the truth of people, objects, events and situations well beyond constraints of time and space. Sunderblogger.138 People feel lonely; they need somebody to fill their loneliness. They call it love. They show love because that is the only way to hook the other. The other also calls it love because that is the only way to hook you. But who knows whether there is love or not? Love is just a game. Real love is possible, but that happens only when you don`t need anybody. When you don`t need a person at all, when you are totally sufficient unto yourself, when you can be alone and tremendously happy and ecstatic, then then love is possible. But then too you can be certain about only one thing; whether your love is real. How can you be certain about the other? But then there is no need. Behind declarations of love there is nothing but need. You want your lover to be with you to fill you emptiness and so too is the case with her. You are both trying to use each other as a means. That`s why lovers, so-called lovers, are always in conflict-because nobody wants to be used, because when you use a person the person becomes a thing, you have reduced him to a commodity. Best Wishes Sunder T

Sunderblogger.137

Sunderblogger.137 More often than ever before, we face a rising tide of uncertainty about the future- about our personal lives and the purpose and meaning of our religious, political, financial, and social institutions. We become strikingly aware that life`s lessons are to be learnt on a daily basis. And one of the greatest teachers is uncertainty. Uncertainty invites us to slow down in order to understand, to see better, to live better. We so badly want things in life to be predictable; we want all our choices to be good one, But we also claim we long for transformation. Certainty and comfort are hardly conductive to transformation. The one certainty is that life is uncertain. We often live as though nothing will change, but it does. The continuous battle between wanting things to stay the same and finding that nothing stays the same creates tension in us. We chose to respond either with fear or helplessness, or with eager acceptance of what lies ahead. The fear we have moving forward, trying something new, and changing direction is often actually an unwillingness to handle uncertainty. The danger is in getting stuck in the `confusion` phase too long, by not seeing it for the opportunity it offers for spiritual growth. The gift that uncertainty offers is its ability to moves us on. Best Wishes! Sunder T

Sunderblogger.136

Sunderblogger.136 to creatively handle innovation is a part of wise living. To know and not to act on what you know is equal to not knowing. On has to see this clearly that, “if you continue doing what you have done you will get what you have got” Hence, there is a need for innovation in all walks of life. Our weakness can become our strength. This is true innovation. One has to focus on innovation id different fields like organization, self, creation of wealth and wellness. All this should result in `end user-innovation` of being happy, being valued and feeling a sense of belonging. The organizational research and knowledge management wing should have methods to arrive an and check whether mission and vision statement have just become a jargons…that is, remaining as sheer intellectual concepts. If it is so, then the very purpose would be lost. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.135

Sunderblogger.135 Often nothing requires more courage than the admission of one`s fault. The disturbance that repentance evokes in our personal and collective psyches, which ruminating over a past wrong or misdeed is so upsetting that we tend to exhaust every other available choice before we own up. We dread the bald admission that we are in the wrong. We dread the bald admission that we are in the wrong. Not only individuals but also communities and nations face this dilemma. Human beings have a double nature; capable of great sacrifice and charity and at the same time capable of committing heinous acts. This is because of the instinct to do well and the instinct to do badly is intertwined with both positive and negative qualities. We tend to hurt others by our thoughtless and selfish inclinations. Others hurt us the same way. There are moments in our lives when we regret our actions and wish we had not done what we had. There would be hardly anyone who has not, at some time or other, grappled with feelings of guilt. Hence the need to be on guard always, is good. Best Wishes! Sunder T

Sunderblogger.134

Sunderblogger.134 we are moving along with the current of our desires, our own goals, aims and agendas. We are constantly thinking of negative things, having a sense of fear unnecessarily and constantly expecting the worst of by our negative state of being and they come and settle in us, making our mind a garbage bin. Many a time we feel that everybody is victimizing us for no fault of ours, making us feel very pathetic and ordinary. Instead, when we don`t unnecessarily assume and presume the above, we value and feel that life is precious, auspicious, esteemed and extraordinary. Meditation brings about this awareness to make our life extraordinary. Best Wishes! Sunder T

Sunderblogger.133 Perseverance and letting go are both positive qualities that we are all possess. However, despite their being life-enhancing qualities, these are often complementary and even antagonistic to each other, and need to be employed in sequence, and at the right time, rather than in isolation for us to achieve success, peace and harmony. Success is determined by a combination of factors. Hard work is only one of them. Besides hard work, we also need talent, inspiration, creativity, luck, and destiny. While most of us work hard, true success and joy come only to some, while most others have to remain, content with whatever they get. Your views or comment are most welcome. Kind Regards Sunder T

Sunderblogger.131 A great deal has been said about realization and enlightenment. But what is it? Perhaps this is one thing which can never be expressed in words. When we are sad or happy we say so and the other person can follow because there are common feelings. Realization, however, is something most are quite unaware of. Your comments are welcome. Sunderblogger.130 subject: Tech-ready humans – Think the other way round it is unusual to contemplate a time when technology will literally change the face of humankind. If down the millennia, we have dispensed with such things as tails and increased the space in the cranium to accommodate larger brains. Consider the sorts of new posture-related diseases that currently plague users of what are now commonplace technologies such as mobile phones and laptops, such as tech necks, frozen shoulders, sprained hands, etc. Once an ideal tech-ready neo-human is figured our, though, the difficult part would be to figure out how the infinitesimally slow normal process of such changes can be speed up! Sunderblogger.129 subject: Political reforms in India. Situation: India, low At 134 positions [183 in the world list] Due to: High cost of doing business in India, stemming from procedural complexity designed to yield rent for those who wield power. The paper work and formalities involved in starting a business in India is ranked at a poor 165. Worse, when it comes to enforcing contracts, our rank is put at a scandalous second-last or 182/183, which isunchanged still. Solution: A more transparent, business-like regulatory regime would boost investment and enterprise, and augment the quality of economic growth. We need hassle-free procedure to boost business activity. Overall, strengthening transparency and efficiency of commercial dispute resolution, and improving bankruptc procedures would pay rich dividends. The bottom line is the pressing need to revamp and reform the business environment across the board. Your views, suggestions, or comments are most welcome. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.128 Subject: Mind, Body, and Self The speaking tree says, there are three aspects to an individual. His persona as people think he is, as he himself thinks he is, and what he actually is. People judge you mostly by your outward manifestation in terms of your personality, attire, the way you carry yourself and your status in the society. You judge yourself by what you think you are capable of doing, while others judge you by what you have already done. An individual`s perception about himself is mostly colored by the twin conditions of self-importance and ego., albeit in varying degrees. Very few are keen to find out that the real Self hidden within to ascertain one`s true identity. Sunderblogger.127 The mindset we have has not helped us. It has led us to a mediocre reality. I has led us to accepting a reality that is full of suffering and pain. We need something that is fulfilling; something that we can enjoy Bliss will be the character of that existence. When can humanity as a whole get that reality? Is it impossible? No, it`s not possible. It is the very nature of our existence to be in bliss, to be symmetry. All that we need to do is not gain anything more than what we have. As a matter of fact, it is a matter of losing what we have. Losing our ego, which is your `I` consciousness, is the culprit. Best Wishes! Sunder T

But it is important that these Arab popular movements do not give in to anti-Israel hysteria and focus on democratization their national policies. Sunderblogger.123 The tension is triggered when we stretch ourselves beyond our mental, physical, and financial capacities and capabilities. The root cause is our expectations. Sunderblogger.121 Sunlight is nature`s gift to mankind. We need the sun to survive and to be healthy in body and mind. The rays of the sun contain seven different colors which correspond to our energy centers. Unique vibration of each color in the rays of the sun can be used as tools for healing physical, psychological, and spiritual ills. Sunlight can bring about transformation in body, mind, and sprit that well could be gradual but fulfilling experience ultimately. “As within, so without” – sunlight is all about discovering your inner sun that could be your best friend. Sunderblogger.120 A focused mind succeeds no only because it can solve problem with greater dispatch, but also because problems have a way of somehow vanishing before its focused energies, without even requiring to be solved. A focused mind often attracts opportunities for success that, to less focused (and therefore less successful) individuals, appear to come by sheer luck. Concentration awakens our powers and channels them, dissolving obstacles in our path, literally attracting opportunities, insights and inspirations. In many ways, subtle as well as obvious, concentration is the single most important key to success. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.119 The difference between ego and will is that the ego is blind but the will has vision. Will has its source in the pure Self. Ego springs from avidya, a false sense of identification with the external world, and is usually concerned with preserving self-image and self-identity. Ego is characterized by stubbornness, selfishness, and unwillingness to compromise. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.118

Sunderblogger.118 becoming successful in the world requires a strong will, and that strong will needs to be properly guided so we develop a strong personality rather than a trivial, egotistical one. A strong personality exhibits tolerance and endurance. It has the power to `vanquish` an opponent, but chooses to forgive and forget instead. When egotistical, on the other hand, we demonstrate our weakness by answering a pebble with cannon. We lose composure the moment our feelings are even slightly bruised. We have received from others, but an even harder time remembering how much we have injured others. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.117

Sunderblogger.117 we find that everything is absolutely based on a fundamental ultimate law: nothing ever geos wrong. Yes, sometimes it looks to us as if it has gone wrong, because we were expecting something else. That`s a problem-we do one thing, we sow one seed and we expect something else. We sow the seeds of one kind of flower and we expect some other kind of flower, so when the flowers come we are frustrated. But flowers come through the seed, not our wishes. Life is our project. We are our life`s creators. God has created men, but as freedom. So there is an essential freedom inside; now it is up to you to choose what you would like to happen to you in life and then you will see that it starts happening. One thing is linked with another, one thing leads to another, and slowly you have taken a certain rout; then all other alternatives are dropped. Life is a small affair a 70 year affair in which one-third will be gone in sleep, another one-third will be gone in earning bread and butter, another one-third in other stupidities….. It is not a big thing, compared to death it is nothing. Death is eternity. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.116 In India, the big `C` stands not so much for `Cancer` as for `Corruption. Corruption, which seems to thrive at all levels, is perhaps the single biggest threat to our national economic and ethical health. Abolish corruption? It`s like saying `let `a abolish gravity`. Corruption has become as essential factor in our lives as gravity, which keeps everything in its place. Any suggestion that it could be done away with sounds like a joke, and not a particularly funny one at that. OK, so corruption is something unavoidable, something that we have to learn to live with. But who`s responsible for it? How does the spiral of corruption begin? Who`s at the beginning of the ghoos story? The other day, the answer to that question was revealed tome. I realized who the source of corruption is: it was me. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.115 William Blake said:” He who bends to himself a joy/Does the winged life destroy; /But he who kisses the joy as it flies/Lives in eternity`s sunrise” Being is consciousness without the attached strings of attachment and ego. Being is a way of seeing the world, and everything in it, through the consciousness of a poet, or an artist, or a sage. Being has no title deed, no desire of possession, no stamp of ownership... The polar opposite of being is consciousness in the mode of having. The world and everything in it- beauty, wealth, power, and fame- is perceived as possession, something to have, and to hold on to at all the cost. If being is pure consciousness without ego, having is pure ego without consciousness. In having the ego becomes all consuming my wishes and desires that must be fulfilled, my ideal home, my perfect family, my enviable collection of art and beauty, my good name and reputation, the world as my private property to do with as I will. Sunderblogger.114 Religion travel is the largest segment in India`s domestic tourism. Close to 60 percent of those travelling within India combine it with a stop at a shrine or an important place of worship. This segment has been growing by at least 35 per cent. High-end spiritual tourism is the in thing. With increased connectivity and availability of quality accommodation at religious place in India, there has been an increase in this segment. High-end spiritual tourism includes foreigners from UK, France, Germany, and other European countries. NRIs too form a significant share of the market. However, the biggest proportion is still formed by the affluent businesspersons and their families within India. Your comments are most welcome. Best Wishes! Sunder Thadani
