India4u: Indians are going through the pain of demonetization since November 09, 2016. Government is given all sorts of consolation that things will be better after December 30, 2016 (Last date fixed for demonetization). Surprisingly, donations to the political parties is still no touched and and why it is kept outside the purview of cashless society is still a mystery. It is high time such donations are also be included and laws must be amended to mandate that all donations to political parties can only be in digital format. Since 80% of the 1800 parties registered in India not having contested any election in the last few years, many of them look like setups to launder money, Mandating a digital trail will put paid to this rot. Government should not shield political parties and allow them indulge in black money during elections. Are authorities listening?. Regards. Sunder Thadani. 20161221.

Subject: videoPad video Editor. Free download. Free video editors of 2016, Cut, filter, combine and convert videos in seconds with this free software. Simple to use, even for newcomers. Not feature-packed, but still excellent. Free video editing software has a tendancy to be either simple to us and limited in terms of features, or powerful and time-consuming to learn. VideoPad video Editor does an excellent job of straddling both camps. This ease of use plays a big part in VideoPad`s appear, but it is also recommended because of the sheer range of tools it has on offer. If you like you may forward to your friends. Regards. Mumbai, I love U Falling in love is easy, staying loyal is not. I fell in love twice. First got me my wife and the second an eternal fear. Fear of leaving my beloved Mumbai. Of the two, I have been more loyal to Mumbai. It maybe a mere name on the milestone to many and I sulk at the misfortune of those who descend on Mumbai every morning for their livelihood but leave in the setting sun utterly unaffected. What can be more condescending to the city of saints and souls of fire? I shudder at the sacrilege and thank God in the same breath. I thank because I am still around to imbibe the Mumbai air, drive on the canal and soak up the unrelenting sun. Mumbai, to me, embodies mirth and sorrow, heat and dust, the sun kissed mornings and aromatic evenings, a future wedded to the past and a gloriously resilient spirit. Regards. 20161214. Subject: Aadhaar number to replace PIN, password very soon India4u: Very soon, The Aadhaar number is all set to become an alternative for all online and card transactions which require password and PIN as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is developing a mobile app that can be used by shopkeepers, merchants or individuals for receiving payments. This move is part of the drive, anchored by Niti Aayog, to make India a cashless economy after the government scrapped high-value currency notes on November 08, 2016. The working of the system is simple. Online transaction can be executed between two people having bank accounts linked with Aadhaar by just feeding the 12 digit unique identification number in the mobile set equipped with the Aadhaar-enabled app which will be used for authenticating biometrics-fingerprints or eyes of person making payment. Aadhaar-enabled transactions are car-less and PIN-less. So folks wait and watch India as cashless society. Sunder Thadani. 20161202.

Subject: Digital Dabbawalas (Mumbai`s lunch tiffin carriers). It is more than a decade since the world realised that Mumbai`s lunch-dabba system is an act of urban genius. Now the dabbawalas are also offering click-based services at your doorsteps. This is the most indigenous food delivery system in the world. The Forbes magazine gave the lunchbox delivery men a Six Sigma performance rating or a 99.999999 percent of precision, which means they make one error in 16 million deliveries! Since last 125 years, there has not been a single instance of a lunchbox that has been delivered to its destination. Around 5,000 dabbawalas travel over 60 to 70 kms daily to delivery over 2,00,000 lunchboxes across Mumbai. Sunder Thadani. 20161129.

India is gradually switching to digital modes of financial transactions. It is now reaching the grassroots. You can call it New-Age Solutions. After demonetisation of currency notes of Rs. 1000, and Rs. 500, people are switching over to digital methods, and the transactions are reaching grassroots. Soon India will become cashless society as per P.M. Modi`s dream. India welcomes digital economy and cashless transactions! India has entered into a new zone where more and more people are considering the benefits of mobile apps and tablets; creating paperless banks; adopting digitalisation of processes and products. The technology is increasingly penetrating the bottom of the demographic pyramid and that promises a cashless future. There are may advantages of the change from cash to digital transaction. 1. It can help banks to improve their services and product offerings. 2. Provide 24/7 bank services and availability through mobile, PC, or kiosk branch. 3. Smart banking applications allows all transactions to be completed from the device of one's choice, from beginning to end. The fact that more and more Indians are today relying on artificial intelligence of digital banking and moving to cashless transactions. The message is reaching to the bottom of the demographic pyramid. Sunder Thadani. 20161129.

DigiEdu, a unit of Sunder Foundation for Fee Free Online Digital Education for all, Anytime, Anywhere. Mobilise Mobile Money Infrastructure Recent Currency ban by India for rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes -November 08, 2016. Get volunteers to educate rural Indians: Rural India is particularly hard hit by the scarcity of currency notes induced by the government`s demonetisation scheme. Most people transact almost exclusively in cash, bank branches are few and far between and newly minted notes ven their way to rural branches very slowly. People struggle to make payments, except when some unethical entrepreneurs offer to accept old notes at a discount of anything up to 30%. It is high time government to devise means to put to use the mobile payment infrastructure that the banking system has built up around the electronic backbone provided by the National Payment Corporation of India. Even without smartphones, people can send the money in their bank accounts,if they sign up for mobile banking, to other people with bank accounts, using a communication protocol called Unstructured Supplementary Service Data, which enables a t wo-say connection between the consumer`s phone and the telecom service provider's computers. About 50 banks are on this platform. The remitter must acquire a seven-digit Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) and a mobile Personal Identification Number. Some details on the payee are also needed, naturally: his phone number and MMID, his account and IFSC Code or just his Aadhaar number; Mobile wallets operated by telecom service providers, such as Airtel Money, can simplify matters further. And things will get even simpler when telcos that have obtained payment bank licences launch their operations. all hurdles in their path must be cleared. To get rural folk to use mobile banking will call for some extensive education. Necessity is a great teacher. That said, it would be useful if political parties and their associated youth and other organisations act as volunteers who guide people on the use of mobile banking. This will not remove all the strain arising from the disappearing of cash. But it would ease the pain for many. This issued for the public information for the members of sundercircle.
