The BEST is encouraging its 30 lakh bus commuters and 10.5 lakh electricity consumers to go in for "cashless" paymnets from December 10-- when it will launch a host of e-payment options, a mobile ticketing service, two mobile apps and a facility for credit card payments at some of its Point of Sale (PoS) outlets across the city. In the wake of demonetization and efforts taken by the government to promote digital transactions, this action is taken.
