DigiEdu4all Good news is that Reliance Industries is preparing to launch feature phone with 4G capability creating a new category of mobile device in India, in a bid to attract users to its telecom venture Reliance Jio Infocomm. These devices could be priced as low as Rs.1000 and will come bundled with unlimited voice and video calling, besides digital content, people familiar with the plans. These devices will offer the feature phones with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology, seeking to win over customers from the rural and tier-3 markets who use phones mainly to make calls. About 65% of India`s more than 1 billion mobile phone subscribers still use feature phones. Affordability- the cheapest 4G smartphones cost about Rs. 3000 - and lack of scope for either user have deterred the faster adoption of smartphones. Jio the only telco in India that offers VoLTE to make calls, has added over 25 million users since starting services on September 5 and is targeting 100 million in the shortest time equivalent to about 38% of market leader Airtel`s 260 million subscribers in the country. Reliance is developing two feature phones priced at about Rs. 1000 and Rs.1500 that are likely be launched during January-March. The device will function just like smartphones and will include the use of data to access the internet and make calls only thing missing will be the touchscreen. If Jio launches VoLTE features phones at Rs. 1000, it can potentially shake up the market because the target audience in that segment may perfer to choose phones with free calling inbuilt. The 4G telco is working with domestic handset maker Lava International and chinese original equipment makers to manufacture these features phones. Jio is said to be subsuming part of the selling price to make the 4G features available at about Rs. 1000 (about $15). The cost of making the phones is about $25 and they are usually sold for about Rs.2500. Regards. Sunder Thadani. 20161116.

DigiEdu4all Online, Fee Free, Anywhere, Anytime. Managing Trustee: Sunder Thadani, Sunder Foundation Mailto: sunderkt@gmail.com – https://sunderkt.wordpress.com Mobile: 079779 88099 Subject: Indian going cashless. Digital transaction via e-wallet on a PC or a smartphone promises quite a few benefits. You can pay your utilities and mobile phone bills, insurance premiums, book bus, movie and flight tickets, taxi rides and more without stopping out of your home or standing in a queue. In case you are short of funds, you can send an in-app request to friends and family. On the other hand, you can send money instantly to folk who are using the services. E-wallets work like prepaid cards, so you can use them for transactions without sharing your bank details every time. They are secure, easy to operate, and are widely accepted by most service providers and e-commerce websites. Offline merchants who support e-wallets also let you pay your bill by scanning a unique QR code with the phone`s camera. The app detects the recipient`s details and all you have to do is enter the amount to be paid. No exchange of plastic cards, or hard cash. You also get discounts and cash backs in return for usage of e-wallets. (These vary with service providers and may include caveats. For instant, a cash back offer may only be for the first time you pay a utility bill or a restaurant discount that is valid at certain outlets.) You can use e-wallets from multiple e-payment services; you do not have to maintain a maintenance fees (You may need to utilize more than one e-wallet to pay all your bills, depending on the tie-ups they have with different service providers. Finally, transactions are less cumbersome, your dependence on paper money is reduced, and you can monitor your spending. Kind Regards. This info. Is for the members of sundercircle.

Neutral Wi-fi Infra to bridge Digital Divide: India at present has only 35,000 Wi-fi hotspot while in US, UK and France has million of them. The Wi-Fi provide cheaper alternative to installing fibre for connectivity. Neutral Wi-Fi architecture is required so that anyone, irrespective of internet service provider, will be able to latch onto any hotspot, and use the network and pay accordingly. This neutral Wi-Fi Network would avoid duplication of infrastructure. Government has suggested that BOOT model be adopted for its BharathNet strategy with active participation from entrepreneurs to operate, use and market the network, besides utilising cable TV infrastructure for speedier broadband penetration. If 100 million cable TV homes carry 10 Mbps or more bandwidth, then we can have a reliable broadband infrastructure. Satellite-base communication would facilitate digital connectivity in remote areas but policy implements were holding this back.Regards. Sunder Thadani. 20161031

Telephone Etiquettes and Manners. How to: Effectively Communicate over the Phone. Effective communications over the phone require clarity of speech, knowing what you want to convey and a willingness, to engage with someone using good listening skills and prompts. This article provides some of the basics required effectively communicate during a phone call. 1. Answer the phone specifying who you are. It can be disorienting for a caller when they do not know with whom they are speaking. Try to have a bright, happy voice when answering too, as this gets the conversation off to a good start. 2. Speak clearly. Pronounce your words well and try to avoid mumbling, gushing, or speaking too quickly. If the person on the other end is hard of hearing or speaks a different language from your own, speak slowly and either raise your voice or speak more clearly than usual. 3. Use words that make sense to the person you are speaking with. It does not make a lot of sense to speak teenspeak with an elderly grandmother. She is not necessarily going to "get it". Adjust your language to fit the listener. 4. Use good & descriptive language when you are trying to evoke images in the listener's mind. If you need to describe something well, try to choose words that identify its shape, color, size, etc. 5. Write down important points before making a call. If you are worried that you will forget something when you call someone, or that you will get tongue-tied and not say what you meant to, write a prompt sheet before the call and keep it in front of you. Refer to it if you get flustered during the call. 6. Repeat important points during a call. Regards! Sunder Thadani -20160930.

It is cheaper to start a web firm today If you are thinking of launching an Internet start up, you don`t even need initial capital to get going. What you need is a unique and clear idea of how to improve an essential service. Today cost technology is so low that it`s cheaper to launch an Internet venture than any other business. Think of creating an internet utility that people will use every day to save money, save time, make a living, or reduce effort. If you get it right, your customers will find you via word-of-mouth. For such a utility service, the cost of acquiring and serviceing every new customer tends to be zero, while the marginal revenue per unit remains constant. As your customer base grows, so do your profits. As long as your profits are greater than your fixed costs, you can keep building you team and keep growing. If your are sustainable and hit upon a growth formula that can help you dominate the market, then you don`t under-fund your venture for the sake of bootstrapping. This is the precise moment when outside capital works becomes your best friend, other than lady luck, of course. Regards. 20161023.
