Rs.100, max. Rs. 1500). Daily: Rs. 45000 devliveries per day, 70% of which contain fruits and veggies. Big Model: While most players are aggregators- they follow a hyperlocal model by tying neighbourhood stores and sourcing from them- Bigbasket follows a farm-to-fork model where it buys in bulk from farmers. Pricing: Prices change daily and are benchmaked twice a week with local markets. veg vendors may be cheaper in evening as they have to dispose of veggies. Retail: Online grocery contibutes less than 1% to the $500 billion retail industry (70% of which is food and grocery), but is expected to climb to 2.3% by 2013.
