At the heart of Christmas is the message of "Peace on earth, goodwill to men" which evokes feelings of hope, kindness and benevolence- a sense of neighbourliness. It concurs with Jesus` directive to love our neighbours, even our enemies This seemingly difficult task becomes easy when we follow the Golden Rule from the Bible: "Treat other people exactly as you would like to be treated by them." This Rule demands pro-active loving and caring, not just fraining from negative behaviour. Our motives and act are then impelled by "the sweet amenities of (divine) Love.... in true brotherliness, charitableness, and forgiveness." writes Mary Baker Eddy. The result is unconditional love devoid of self-righteousness. There`s and additional benefit- new research reports that having goodwill to others actually makes your heart healthy. So express the heart of Christmas every day and experience the healing of heart, mind, body and soul- Annu Mattal. Mumbai: Road Transport & Safety Bill, 2014. this Bill seeks to save 200,000 lives over the next 5 years, add 4% to India`s GDP by reforming the transport sector and create over 1000,000 jobs. This is the first major legislation of Modi govt. Doubts are cast upon the Bill and its attempted disruption of state powers (vs the Central Govt.)Such orchestrated attacks not only the demonstrate the apathy of certain state governments towards the safety of their citizen, but also their ignorance of the fact that legislation around "mechanized" transport and its regulation is the exclusive domain of the Government of India. 231214: Being Deeply Aware- Being aware does not mean learning and accumulating lessons from life; on the contrary, to be aware is to be without the scars of accumulated experience. After all, when the mind merely gathers experience according to it own wishes, it remains very shallow, superficial. A mind which is deeply observant does not get caught up in self-centered activities, and the mind is not observant if there is any action of condemnation or comparison. Comparison and condemnation do not bring understanding, rather they block understanding. To be aware is to observe, just to observe, without any self-identifying process. Such a mind is free of that hard core which is formed by self-centred activities. 211214- 1.The Perfect Human - What does it take to create a life that`s so excellent its unbelievable? The Perfect Human Respects Work. Work is a means to grow stronger, bigger and better. A job`s just a job if you choose to see it as a job. All work is a means to express your awesome talent, beat your fears and produce gorgeous value for other human beings. 2. The Perfect Human Adores Family At the end, few things matter more than how well you loved those who love you. I adore my work. But even more, I adore, I adore my family. 3. The Perfect Human Savours Life. Albert Camus said it 10,000x better than I could on my best day: Live to The Point of Tears. TPH feels life, both the blessings and the sufferings. They all contain an ordinal form of utter beauty. This is what Robin sharma wrote in DNA on December 21, 2014. This is only for the information of the members. 201214- Do not Judge: Judging others is one of our human weaknesses. We sometimes do this even withou sufficient evidence. We are often inclined to condemn people without realizing that those whom we condemn are, in fact, masterpieces of god`s creation! Instead of judging or criticizing others, let us learn to make an effort to discover the beauty hidden in others. There is no doubt whatever that every human person is blessed with goodness and beauty of one type or another. Reading religious scriptures will awaken us to this reality! In his Sermon on Mount Jesus Christ said, "do not judge, and you will bot be judged. For as you judge so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother`s ey, bu do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? This is what Percival Fernandez wrote in DNA of December 20, 2014. 191214- Spirituality is Serving: Service is the essential Spirituality. visit to the temple, mosque, or church everyday may or may no imply spirituality depending on the innermost intention of the person involved, but serving others a pure and seeking heart is true spirituality. Often people may skip going to church or to the temple and instead go to serve at an orphanage or help the needy on a Sunday. These are truly spiritual acts. It is often difficult for people to share their possessions (because of various reasons), yet doing so requires a courage which is akin to genuine spiritual courage. People everywhere should be encouraged to share their money and time with the less fortunate. Yet, if this is done for the sake of fame and for showing-off, then the purpose and intent of Spirituality is contradicted. 181214- Reading Divine Truths-The divine Truths are most grasped and assimilated when they are passed on directly to the aspirant by a living Master. Such personal communications of the Master have a power and efficacy that can never belong to information received by the aspirant through other sources. The word becomes alive and potent because of the life and personality of the the Master. Hence many scriptures emphasis the need for hearing the divine Truths directly through the spoken word of a Master. It is not always possible, however, for the aspirant to contact and listen to a living Master. In such cases meditation through reading has some advantages of its own. For the generality of aspirants, meditation through reading has hardly any suitable substitute because it starts from written expositions, which are available at any convenient time. Meditation that starts with reading about revealed Truths has this special advantage of being easily accessible to most participants. Sunderblogger.004 In order to impact society, our individual development, whether spiritual or material, must contribute to collective development. What good is individual growth and development if it remains inside the boundaries of our own skin? Wouldn’t the world around us change dramatically if we turned our inwards orientation outward- and reflected our development through service to society? Best Wishes! Sunder T

161214 India: Law vs Freedom - Religion - conversion For your information religion conversion is a state subject, but center and states can enact laws on it. Odisha was first to enact anti conversion law, in 1967 Other states- Madhya Pradesh (1967), Arunachal (1978), Gujarat and Chhattisgarh (2003), Himachal (2006), Rajasthan bill of 2008 never got governor assent, is in cold storage. Tamil Nadu repealed law of 2002 in 2004 after public protest. Gujarat`s anti conversion law stands out because its stringent provisions. Anyone seeking voluntary conversion needs collector`s permission, not intimation. It violates Articles 19 and 25 of constitution which allows citizen freedom con conscience and to freely profess, practice and propagate one`s religion.
