Neutral Wi-fi Infra to bridge Digital Divide: India at present has only 35,000 Wi-fi hotspot while in US, UK and France has million of them. The Wi-Fi provide cheaper alternative to installing fibre for connectivity. Neutral Wi-Fi architecture is required so that anyone, irrespective of internet service provider, will be able to latch onto any hotspot, and use the network and pay accordingly. This neutral Wi-Fi Network would avoid duplication of infrastructure. Government has suggested that BOOT model be adopted for its BharathNet strategy with active participation from entrepreneurs to operate, use and market the network, besides utilising cable TV infrastructure for speedier broadband penetration. If 100 million cable TV homes carry 10 Mbps or more bandwidth, then we can have a reliable broadband infrastructure. Satellite-base communication would facilitate digital connectivity in remote areas but policy implements were holding this back.Regards. Sunder Thadani. 20161031

Telephone Etiquettes and Manners. How to: Effectively Communicate over the Phone. Effective communications over the phone require clarity of speech, knowing what you want to convey and a willingness, to engage with someone using good listening skills and prompts. This article provides some of the basics required effectively communicate during a phone call. 1. Answer the phone specifying who you are. It can be disorienting for a caller when they do not know with whom they are speaking. Try to have a bright, happy voice when answering too, as this gets the conversation off to a good start. 2. Speak clearly. Pronounce your words well and try to avoid mumbling, gushing, or speaking too quickly. If the person on the other end is hard of hearing or speaks a different language from your own, speak slowly and either raise your voice or speak more clearly than usual. 3. Use words that make sense to the person you are speaking with. It does not make a lot of sense to speak teenspeak with an elderly grandmother. She is not necessarily going to "get it". Adjust your language to fit the listener. 4. Use good & descriptive language when you are trying to evoke images in the listener's mind. If you need to describe something well, try to choose words that identify its shape, color, size, etc. 5. Write down important points before making a call. If you are worried that you will forget something when you call someone, or that you will get tongue-tied and not say what you meant to, write a prompt sheet before the call and keep it in front of you. Refer to it if you get flustered during the call. 6. Repeat important points during a call. Regards! Sunder Thadani -20160930.

It is cheaper to start a web firm today If you are thinking of launching an Internet start up, you don`t even need initial capital to get going. What you need is a unique and clear idea of how to improve an essential service. Today cost technology is so low that it`s cheaper to launch an Internet venture than any other business. Think of creating an internet utility that people will use every day to save money, save time, make a living, or reduce effort. If you get it right, your customers will find you via word-of-mouth. For such a utility service, the cost of acquiring and serviceing every new customer tends to be zero, while the marginal revenue per unit remains constant. As your customer base grows, so do your profits. As long as your profits are greater than your fixed costs, you can keep building you team and keep growing. If your are sustainable and hit upon a growth formula that can help you dominate the market, then you don`t under-fund your venture for the sake of bootstrapping. This is the precise moment when outside capital works becomes your best friend, other than lady luck, of course. Regards. 20161023.
