Sunderblogger.013 In a society in which instant food, instant education and even instant cities are everyday phenomena, no product is more swiftly fabricated or more ruthlessly destroyed than the instant celebrity. Nations advancing towards super-industrialism sharply step up their out of these “psycho-economic” products. Instant celebrities burst upon the consciousness of millions like an image-bomb-which is exactly what they are. Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger In so many ways, our minds are involved in constructing the world we find ourselves in. Our perceptions and the concepts we hold determine the social reality we see and create. The very patterns of our thought influence how we interact with and shape this reality. Thus, our conceptions of who we are, the interactions and discourses that inform our thinking, and our experiences in applying ideas and ideals, all serve to define the parameters of social existence Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

Sunderblogger.011 We as human beings have power - not just to cause harm and create terror but to help ourselves of this seemingly hopeless scenario of doom and gloom. It might seem contradictory that people are empowered and empower others, merely by being kind and compassionate and not because they are overbearing, manipulative and unkind and force their view on others. A kind word, a good deed, a caring gesture, a warm simile, all these are like power kegs. Kindness and compassion spring from inner security whereas aggression and hatred come from inner insecurity. When our backs are up against the wall, positive inner resources come to the rescue. Sometimes they are invisible but in times of distress, they give us strength and help us emerge as powerful game changers Kind Regards Sunder Thadani

India, the land is so cluttered with people that there has grown up in some of Indians a craving for aloneness. Is this desire a form of self-obsession? Obsession with the self is an ancient Indian peculiarity. It has always been there. And it has been a limiting factor in the development and continuity of Indian culture and society. In India, wherever you turn, in long and chequered history you find the destructive presence of the Indian ego, which stresses tge "I" more that any other ego. The break-up of Indian kingdoms and empires, even to the point of inviting foreign invaders to destroy a rival, the break-up of our spiritual experience into segments so small as to be misleading (hence the rise of mutually exlusive cults, social doctrines and aesthetic attitude), the break-up of Indian social economy - such are the evil results of our selfish ways. Indian have never learned to sink the "I" so that the social amalgam may prosper. Indians have lost the whole in pursuit of a part. Indian are for ever destroying the wood in order to preserve a few pet trees. The consequence is clear; an invitation to the desert to creep up and swallow everything. no.101 - The way Indians have exploited the cow has influenced them in many more ways than they realized. The want milk without feeding her. the moment she is dry they utterly neglect her. In the countryside she is let loose until she is able to give milk again. Oftern she perishes. If her lactation returns it is of such negligible quantity that the owner thinks it unoconomical to keep her. The Indian lets her die of hunger. Nor is this all. Our cow-caunt has tained our character and vitaited our commercial thinking. We want great returns from an enterprise, but we are not prepared to invest either adequate capital or skill or time in it. If only Indians could the folly of the attitude. India, with the greatest cattel population in the world, would in reality be flowing with milk and honey. So, if Indians are to make any headway, they have to start with our cow and her counsins the other animals, frittering away our reverence for life, Indian can make hteri tenderness a lever to turn the world. Actually, India is a gigantic menagerie where animal, humap or other, snarls imptently at fellow animal [next will continue as no. 102] Kind Regards! Sunder T

In India mother of Nation the Holy Cow. Emotions has been built round her until she has bocme a deity to be worshipped by everyonce and on every occation. Yet what is the condition of the Indian cow? Although all make way for her, on one feeds her properly. An the way she is treated by our people! Horrible. I have seen a cow, unable to amble, being hit on the head with an iron bar until she writhod in agony. Then her tail was twisted and the same bar trust into her rectum. A crowd stood by watching the delectable scene. When I called a policeman to intervence, he smiled and said to me that the animal was not government property and so he could do northing. The owner had a right to do what he liked with his own. Kind Regards! Sunder T

conituneing as no. 099 - In India, reverence for life, is the keynote of an Indian being. It is true that Indians talk kindly of animals. Indeed, if you kill an Indian monkey, you might very well be killed yourself. As far as cow, she is sacred, more immortant, in some ways than a pandit. Kamshmiri or other. Cockroaches, flies, bedbugs, lice, mosquitoes, mice, rats- in brief, vermin ofevery kind-have a place in the Indian panthoon. they may not be destroyed; they are to be preseved to plague somebody else. the rich and the not-so-rich sleep in reasonably clean houses; but it is instructive to visit their servants` quarters. The poor wretches have logements in the same bungalow or garden, but at night they reveive the tneder attentions of noxioud incets, forecious-looking rats, and even poinous snakes. It is common to see a domestic servant singing merrily while retiring for the night and waking up in the mornign with a face so swollen as to make him unrecognizable. A bite in the darkness- that`s all. Who bothers about it. [next will continue as no. 100] Kind Regards! Sunder T

In India, Public Service Commissions, the days of foreign imperialism, were the tools of the Governors; today they are at the mercy of many masters; they survive on suffereance. a qualified Indian who can get a post in a foreign country will not stay at home, where, despite his know-howhe has to go from big-wig with hat in hand. By the time he secures something he is disgusted with himself, and longs to go away and wash and wash. All life is one, as Indians say. A great thought, to be sure; but some life in practice, is more important than another. How easy things are if one happens to the son or son-in-law of a Minister! The neo-Branmins are the Burra Sahibs of our day, and they surpass rulers in the art of dispensing patronage. [next will continue as no. 099] Kind Regards! Sunder T

In India, neither parents nor the rulers as a whole care for the exeptional individual who, if encouraged, would be able to make mighty contributions to social and national well-being. Most often, and individual is left to rot or dismmsed as a disturbing freak. An average Indian feel at home and comfortable with spineless mediocrity. A brilliant or original official cannot survive in the India of today; he has to hide his light under a bushed or get out. Knowing, which preveailed to a certain extent in British days, is now a sine qua non of meritoriousness. There is a classic example here. A student who had topped the list of the B.A examination in his State, yet, as he with tears in his eyes could not get a decent job, while a colleage of, she, who was way down in the final results, received a scholarship from the authorities because her father was a judge of the High Court and could pull the right strings. no.096 - Indian children hav a typical attitude. They do as the mood seize them; discipline is foreign to them, and behaviour is a matter of hit or misswith them. A naughty child is handled oddly in India; if he is a member of humbler classes, he is ignored or thrashed into insensibility; if he is a child f the rich, he is bribed with presents or put in the care of servants. Eigher way, he gets precious little guidance from his parents in preparing himself for life. Here we tocuh on our fundamental defect; there are expremely few fully-developed, poised Indian. It is because their mothers have been unable , for one reason or another, to bring them up properly. Even our greatest men oftern behave childishly, not only at home, which is understandable and perhaps agreable, but in pubic and in approaching matters of grave national and international importance. Indian chilren have never received a fair deal; they are either neglegted or pampered. They grow up to be stunted; they do not get the best from society nor they give of their best to it in return. Why hid the truth? All notable Indians have been notable accidently; the forstering of genius or high talent makes no sense to the Indians. Indian philosophy is; "Inspiration comes from beyond, from the gods, not from within." [Next will continue as no.097 Kind Regards! Sunder T
