Mumbai's evident cultural history is more than 2,000 years old and the existence of its rivers, the Dahisar, Poisar, Oshiwara and Mithi (on Salsette Island along) along with the smaller streams and rivulets, is ever older. The island city then described as ` the city of seven islands` with hills, had its fair share of these natural monsoon water flows.
Worrying numbers: 504,000,000 liters - Estimated total volume of waste water polluting our rivers.
600 to 800 MT Daily - Estimated total solid waste finding its way into rivers.

What is failure? As the old proverb goes, failures are pillars of success. Only a person who tries to do something will taste success and while trying to do so, one may encounter obstacles too. Our life is full of surprises. Trab these moments. The surprises make the game of life interesting.
Admitting one's mistake is not easy and requires courage. Nevertheless, oce we are strong enough to admit our failures, half the battle is won. We have to embrace failure in order to be successful in life- Tamina Tiwari

Life is one great game of chess, play it judiciously - Shivanshu K. Srivastava.
In chess, just like in life, if one starts casually, the game becomes unstable. A careful start leads to favourable conditions.
Every move in the game (Chess/Life), has risks. However, if the best move is chosen, it opens up many paths. Formulate a strategy before a few moves and play accordingly. Be ready to tackle any adversity due to mistakes. Chess does not only teach us to analyse the present situation. If enables us to think about the possibilities and consequences. This is the art of forward-thinking.
Even the most important piece-the king-has shortcomings. It can take only a single step at a time, yet the whole game revolves around it. Thus, no one is perfect. The pawn can move only a step forward, but it can turn into a valuable piece if it moves steadily. This teaches us that even the most inferior person can achieve the greatest power. Hence Nobody should be underestimated.
Also, the pawn may not attack alone, but if it has another pawn on its side, it can check even the kin. This proves tat unity indeed generates strength.
Best Wishes!

Be prepared for the nightmares that await you in life- Shri Prakash Sharma in HT.
Books make the best source of knowledge that enlighten and educate human beings. We also learn from the moral precepts and philosophies of gurus and saints and try to live our lives and solve our problems accordingly.
Is life so easy and are life`s problems so easily solved? Does life run so expectedly and mechanically along with the lines of philosophies found in books and saintly guidelines? No. Twists and turns, trials and tribulations in life are so bizarrely unexpected and unceremoniously timed that we feel concerned and cheated. In the conditions, no book, no saint and no guide can help you. Those are the vagaries of life and hard-learned facts of life.
Kind Regards

The reality is that it is normal to feel abnormal, at times- by PP.Wangchuk
Sometimes various factors may make you feel depressed. You feel you are hit hard but you fail to understand the reason. Believe me, it is normal and everybody has to face such moments once in awhile. We have to realise that no normal person can be free of tension and frustration. The moment you realise this, you are about to `turn around` and look for ways to feel better.
Kind Regards!

Sunderblogger.blogspot.20160407 it is said that one cannot be a picture of health without being happy frame of mind. And to achieve that happy frame of mind one has to be free from worries stress and guilt. However, today`s fast paced life is full of worries and tensions. So, it is imperative that one`s focus should not be just a healthy physique, but holistic health encompassing both external and inner wellness. This becomes all the more necessary in today`s world which lays more stress on our physical attributes than our mantel acuity. Kind Regards Sunder T

Inner voice.20160310 Expand your understanding of the `comfort zone` -Chhaya Srivastava In Hindustan Times It is unfortunate that most of us today are living in a state of uncertainty, anxiety- a kind of ear. Life is involved in one kind of skepticisms, or the other. Man constantly looks for a comfort zone-defined as space where he feels at ease. He has minimum level of anxiousness, vulnerability and insecurity. The alarming fact is that traits like anger, hurt, and envy are justified as being normal. The fact of the matter is that there has to be a call for each one of us to diversify and stretch the horizon of our comfort zones leaving no room for negativity. Anger, envy, hatred can never be regarded as comfortable states even if a person is at each with them. Sometimes a greater effort is called for a serious realization that your comfort zone does not become the reason for misery to people around, who many happen to be your own near and dear ones who you love so much. sunderblogger.blogspot.sundercircle. Forgiveness is important. If we are to have any hope of peace in this world, we must master the art of forgiveness. The Hindu characterizes the modern day and age as being riddled with quarrel and hypocrisy. There are so many stimulants to irritate and offend us. Without forgiveness, these burning stimulants nest in our consciousness and slowly reduce our peace of mind to ashes. The foremost reason we should practice forgiveness is because barbering negativity dampens our life. Holding onto resentment is like holding a burning hot coal. It afflicts us within and it manifests as fire without. We hold onto this searing ember of hatred day after day, week after week, year after year with the intention of throwing it at the object of our abuse. But who suffers? We suffer. By holding onto that fire we are torturing ourselves. - Raghunath Swami. This is reproduced for the information and benefit of the member of sundercircle. Regards. Sunder T. 20160312.
