Sub: Think India.
India thrives on contradictions like no place else; any visitor, tourist, or business representative can expect the unexpected. Relying on a trusted Indian friend to act as buffer and to protect one from culture shock is helpful in this sometimes highly confusing country. At your hotel, they may not serve beef because of the reverence Hindus hold for the cow. Yet you may hear the conversation of Hindu man from Kerala seated at a nearby table telling his wife on a cell phone that he will return home tomorrow and would prefer a beefsteak for dinner.
In a temple, where you might expect more familiar rules and behavior, you could be truly shocked to witness a sadhu (a holy man who customarily wears orange) amble in nonchalantly completely nude.
Your views, suggestions, or comments are most welcome.
Best Wishes!

Jug Suralya says in the editorial of TOI, “The elections have witnessed an induction of more than 150 million first time voters. The greatest challenge that the new Indian government faces is to devise ways and means to put to productive use this collective energy which could transform the country economically and socially. The solution lies not in the creation of yet more sarkari (Govt) jobs and adding to an already bloated bureaucracy the answer lies in out-of –the- box thinking: micro financing grassroots entrepreneurs, encouraging self-employment through vocational training, creating sources of productive livelihood instead of creating unproductive government jobs. Unless this is done, millions of India`s “kabutars` (pigeons) will continue to fly out of the country to far-off lands, to perform tricks and sell trinkets and live on the uncertain kindness of foreign strangers, living evidence of India`s begging bowl.” Your comments can be sent to – sunderkt at Gmail dot com – http://sundercircle.wordpress.com – Kind Regards.

A peaceful life is essentially a simple one and hence effortless.
The sheer simplicity of peaceful life is a magnet that attracts,
for deep within we identify with it. To be simple is not something external;
we have to become simple and natural from within, be open to our own 1internal self1, and perform actions knowing where they are leading to. One has to consciously bring about this change, as “to change externally is just a cosmetic change; A peaceful life is essentially a simple one and hence effortless.

Once connected to this sage our decisions are taken from deep within and we no longer need approval of others.

we understand that to be successful is to arrive, to get somewhere; and so we worship success. We`re always thinking in terms of success, in terms of `more`, and the `more` is a relative idea dependent on what prevailing social norms consider to be respectable. If you do not live up to that societal, you are likely to be called a failure. But if you love to do something with all you being, you are then not concerned with success and failure. However, very few have the evolved perspective that allows them space to think this way. The whole concern of an intelligent person is to see things as they are and understand the problem- which is not necessarily about bracketing action in terms of being oriented towards success or failure. It`s only when we don`t really love what we`re doing, that we think in those terms. Didn`t a wise person say; “Success is a relative term; there`s nothing absolute about it?”
What we think of as success today might be thought of as failure in another time and situation and vice versa. It would be in our best interest to view both what we call success and failure as relative states and so treat both success and failure with equanimity.

The best way for awareness of self to happen is slowly, from within, like daybreak when the brightness of the sun is experienced very gently, until it shines forth steadily. Such an experience of Self-awareness would need to happen out of the complete and expectant emptiness of mind, something that waits in hushed silence to be brought forth with divine intervention and the effort put in by the seeker.
This way, as something that comes from within, Self-awareness would help the individual seeker make that cosmic conscious connection with the universal intelligence. You feel it as an effulgent presence, a consciousness that is pristine pure, completely free of any thought. In fact, we cannot grasp the quintessence of spirituality though thinking at all.

Major business houses and multinationals operate out of Mumbai
through their head offices in the city. Mumbai is also the
entertainment capital of the country, producing the largest
number of films and has a large number of multiplexes and
theatres. On the education and healthcare front, the city
has some of the best institutes and hospitals. Moreover it
has the best Public Transportation systems with local trains,
buses, taxis, and autos. The infrastructure projects including
new road, flyovers, sea-links, metro and monorails are being
speeded up. As for real estate, Mumbai continues to be the
most exiting market with a host of residential and commercial
projects getting ready to meet the growing demand.
